Opera Director


Henning Brockhaus is an opera director who is working all over the world; with Zubin Mehta he made La Traviata and Rigoletto at the Maggio Musicale di Firenze, with Nello Santi La Traviata at Nagoya Japan and with Lorin Maazel Fidelio at the Chatelet Theatre in Paris and Teatro Alla Scala, La Traviata in Valencia / Spain, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.


Twice he obtained the Abbiati Prize in Italy: the first time together with Josef Svoboda for La Traviata 1992 at the Sferisterio and 2003 for El Cimarròn by H. W. Henze, also at the Sferisterio.
