Since 2006, he had partaken in intense concert activity in Italy, France, Tunisia, Bulgarie etc. and also musicological research – discovered and performed for the first time Bulgarian and Russian music.


Of October 29th, 2011, Todor Petrov was invited will  become  member of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and arts for special merit in music.


He was member of the Haydn society in England.


He discovered the piano concertos by Boccherini and Hoffmeister and he has preformed in Bulgaria with the orchestra of the city of Haskovo, conducted by maestro Krasimir Zahariev on December 2nd, 2012.

 

T.Petrov discovered the piano concert unknown from Saverio Mercadante and has made its world premiere and recording for Naxos with the Orchestra sinfonica di Roma –conductor Mestro Francesco La Vecchia in Rome on 10 and 11 February 2013.

 

He recently recorded for Forgotten records with mezzosoprano Adriana Grekova songs of Mussorgsky and Tschajkovsky.


In November 12th, 2018, he obtained a doctorate in musicology and interpretation from the Music Academy of Sofia in Bulgaria.

In November 28th, 2018, he took part in a concert with the Philharmonic of Sofia, Bulgaria.

In December 12th, 2018, he conducted a concert for the Russian culture in Tunisia.

 

His recordings have the golden fund of the Bulgarian national radio.
